Miley Cyrus Organizes Celebrity Ebay Auction To Help Haiti
Miley Cyrus in an attempt to help the survivors of the Haiti earthquake disaster has gathered together a bunch of her famous friends and their belongings to partake in a celebrity auction, with all of the proceeds going to relief efforts for the island nation.
Cyrus told People:
“Ever since the earthquake, I’ve been trying to do my part to help the people of Haiti – and I wanted to do more,”
The auction will begin on February 8th at Ebay.com/Miley where fans can bid on items that include Cyrus’ Herve Leger dress from her January 31st Grammy Awards appearance, two tickets to the Hollywood premiere of her new film The Last Song and various other items from her star studded cast of friends.
The other items? How about jewelry donated by Nicole Richie from her House of Harlow line, the Versace minidress Britney Spears wore to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, along with items from Demi Lovato, Hugh Jackman, designer Joel Madden and various other stars.
The proceeds will go directly to American Red Cross’ efforts in Haiti.
Miley isn’t the only one in the family trying to help Haiti, her big sister Brandi is performing with her band Frank & Derol at Harmonies for Haiti, an event put together by Chelsea Staub of Disney Channel fame, that fundraiser will take place on February 11th at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.
