Palin Palmgate Shows Just How Disconnected Palin Is With Reality

Sarah Palin Palmgate
It was quite ironic this week when Sarah Palin at a high-profile Tea Party Convention, took a stab at Barack Obama for his use of teleprompters, when she herself had written words on her palm so she would remember her talking points during her time on stage.

The words found on her palm? According to Yahoo Buzz:

“Energy, Budget cuts (with “budget” crossed out), Tax, Lift American Spirits.”

All the while she continued to look suspiciously at her hand, making for more awkward moments than any teleprompter could provide. But in all seriousness, why all the awkward looks at her palm? there was 7 words written.

She later went on to defend Rush Limbaugh and his use of the word “retard” during his own speech earlier in the week, a move she called political satire and humorous so apparently the N word and other slang is okay, as long as there used in the nature of satire. Although she did accuse White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel for using the same word later in the week, a move that led to some funny tension among Palin and well…everyone else.

Does it scare anyone else that this women needs to write stuff on her hand to remember that it’s important to talk about “lifting American Spirits” and talking about “energy” one of the most hot trending terms in politics and among the American people these days. On her other hand I wouldn’t be surprised to see “Breath In….Breath Out….Breath In….Breath Out.”

And speaking of things just as relevant to anything at all as the fact that there were words on Palin's palm, did anyone notice what color shoes she was wearing?

Fred, it wasn't that there was writing on her hands, it was that she talked about how teleprompters were a crutch, then she had a “crutch” on her hands. Seriously did she have to be reminded that “tax cuts and lifting the american spirit” should be talking points to constantly be referred to?

    From Slansky:
Palin took great umbrage at Rahm Emanuel's use of the phrase “fucking retards,” then excused Rush Limbaugh's subsequent reference to a “retard summit” as “satire.” She snarked to the Tea Partiers about President Obama's use of a teleprompter, then was caught during the Q&A sneaking peeks at her hand, where she had pathetically scribbled crib notes in the idiotic belief that no one would notice them. (“Energy,” “Tax,” and “Lift American Spirits” — she was afraid she'd forget those deep thoughts?) And, of course, there was, “How's that hopey-changey stuff workin' out for ya?” which, in all my years of watching politics, is the most viscerally nauseating utterance I've ever heard. And these are just from the past week.

After a year and a half of exposure to this virulently toxic presence, the question on the table is: In our lifetime, has there ever been a worse human being in American politics than Sarah Palin? For all the morons and criminals and bigots we've been subjected to, has there been anyone else who has combined all of the fetid qualities — the proud ignorance, the sadistic viciousness, the shameless hypocrisy, the arrogant laziness, the congenital dishonesty, the unctuous sanctimony, the bilious resentment, and whichever others I'm forgetting for the moment — that this morals-free harridan so relentlessly displays? (Not to mention that atonal bray with which she communicates it all.)

    Talk amongst yourselves.

Do you really think that six reminder words is similar to reading verbatim from a teleprompter?

She wanted people to notice the writing on her hand. She made no effort to hide it. In fact, at the question and answer session she emphasized her hand by staring and squinting at it like some actor in a silent movie. And just look at all the free publicity she's gotten out of it.

And she hasn't been harmed by it: those who hate her are going to continue to hate her no matter what, her supporters don't understand why the Palin haters are even talking it, the issue is irrelevant to us. And I suspect that those on the fence think that the Palin haters look foolish for going on and on about nothing.

You guys are so easy for her because you so underestimate her.

No, but the fact that she had to remind herself to talk about the American Spirit is rather pathetic.

Sarah Palin has the same comforts of any person who has not declaired they are running for office. She can knock anything or any program with out explaing how to correct it. Lets see what happens when she can say something against a program, and than how she would correct it.
