World's Longest-Married Couple to Tweet Advice

Meet Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher, the world’s longest-married living couple. Herbert is 104 years old and Zelmyra is 102. They’ve been married for 86 years.

Their favorite activities include sitting on the front porch and watching passing trains, counting cars, and socializing with neighbors. And soon, socializing with you on the world wide web.

The Fishers are taking to Twitter this Valentine’s Day to dispense their romantic wisdom, courtesy of blinkbox, an on-demand movie and television provider in the United Kingdom. They’ll be found tweeting from the account @longestmarried.

The Fishers are inviting questions about love and relationships via the micro-blogging site, which has already begun its Valentine’s Day preparations with a joint campaign with another long-standing romantic tradition, Sweethearts candy. The couple will select and answer 14 questions on the day.

blinkbox has also set up a Facebook group for the special occasion. [via Mashable]
