Betty White Talks About Sex
Actress Betty White talked to AARP Magazine about sex in the magazine’s November/December issue, according to PEOPLE.com.
She told the magazine:
“Does desire melt away with age? I’m waiting for that day to come. Sexual desire is like aging,” she continues, pointing at her head. A lot of it is up here.”
The actress talked about her first marriage by saying:
“I married my first husband because we wanted to sleep together. It lasted six months and we were in bed for six months.”
After White’s second horrible marriage, she began dating game show host Allen Ludden. The actress said the two were the perfect match.
“He bought me a beautiful ring and I threw it back at him. So he wore it on a chain around his neck. He said, ‘I’m going to wear it until you put it on your finger.’”
The couple married in 1963 and stayed married until his death in 1981.
She added:
“The secret to our marriage was enthusiasm. When I knew Allen was coming home, I would freshen my makeup and put on a new blouse.”
White said the sex was great and if he were still alive today, they’d still be having sex.
White said:
“I don’t have a fella,” she says, “but if Allen – or Robert Redford – were around, we’d have a very active sex life.”
