Packers’ TE Jermichael Finley Likely Out for Season
The injury news surrounding the Green Bay Packers has to have fans everywhere scared for the rest of the season. With franchise QB Aaron Rodgers suffering from a concussion sustained in their week five game, Packers’ fans now have to worry that Jermichael Finley’s injury, which originally was expected to sideline him for a few weeks, will likely end his season according to ESPN.com.
This new revelation regarding Finley’s injury came when doctors discovered they could repair Finley’s meniscus rather than remove it which would be better for the long-term aspect of Finley’s game; however, if the meniscus is repaired, Finley will miss more time than if it were to be removed.
The Packers have already lost linebacker Nick Barnett, and coach McCarthy said that Rodgers missing the Packers’ upcoming game against the Dolphins is a possibility.
Jermichael Finley was on course to have a great year as he had caught 21 passes for 301 yards and one touchdown before suffering the injury.
