140-Year-Old Hot Dog Recipe

How to make your own 140-year-old hot dog.

Ingredients

1. One store bought hot dog

2. One store bought bun

3. One cardboard sign

4. One sharpie Marker

5. Nation of idiots

6. News coverage

When it comes to making your own 140-year-old hot dog, you have two options. You can cook a hot dog 140 years ago, dump it into a bucket of water (including the bun), let it freeze for 140 years, thaw it out, and enjoy.

Or, you can write 140-year-old hot dog on a sign, and let the internet go wild.

Today, CNN, along with local cable station News 12, fell for a Coney Island Publicity stunt to bring attention to the Coney Island History Project. The Hot dog even got TV coverage.

I didn’t catch wind of this 140-year-old wieney until after the world realized it was a hoax, but I like to think that I have enough common sense to see through such a ridiculous story.

Did you get fooled?
