YouTube has created some amazing milestones these past few weeks. First Lady Gaga’s videos have crossed the one billion views and then Promote Videos program reached half a billion views.
Now YouTube just hit one billion subscriptions, according to Mashable. According to their blog, the channel hit the one-billionth subscriber mark when MachinimaSports signed up on the video sharing website. More than 15 channels have crossed the one million subscriber count included failblog, universalmusicgroup and fred.
To celebrate, YouTube is bringing out a new widget that allows video creators can embed in their sites. This will allow people to subscribe to your channel without having to go to your YouTube page. You can find this code on YouTube’s blog.
I’m not surprised that YouTube hit one billion subscribers, though I thought they would have hit it a little sooner considering how popular YouTube videos are doing.
