Remote Control Sofa - Designer Chair

I hate losing my remote controls, sadly I do so about once a day, but with the designer cubed couch by Daisuke Motagi Architecture of Tokyo, Japan you’re actually encouraged to throw your remotes into the sofa’s cushions.

Typically I don’t like reporting on designer couches or for that matter any type of furniture, they tend to be ergonomic nightmares, but this couch is a standard design with slots all around the unit where you can place various items and pull them out at will, which is actually a pretty good use of soft little cubes.

Unfortunately this design appears to be nothing more than a concept at this time, but hopefully it made a splash at the DesignTide Tokyo 2010 a few days back and will make a debut at retailers eventually.
