Taylor Martinez Did Not Quit

Taylor Martinez did not quit. Rumors that the Nebraska quarterback quit have been floating around tonight, but according to Joe Schad, ESPN’s national college football reporter, the rumors are not true.

Schad talked to Martinez’ HS football coach. Schad just sent out this tweet:

Taylor Martinez’s HS coach, Matt Logan, told me he just spoke w/ the QB, who said: “Everything is fine. I haven’t quit the team.”

Coach Bo Pelini also said that the rumors were false. Omaha.com got in contact with Pelini tonight, and asked him about the QB situation for Oklahoma.

Pelini said:

“(Taylor Martinez) is still on the team.”

Pelini said that he expects Martinez to practice this weekend, for Nebraska’s final game of the season against Colorado. Pelini did not comment on the sideline grilling he gave Martinez during the Texas A&M game.
