A marijuana dispensary in California was able to collect a ton of food this holiday season for charity. The store collected about 11,000 pounds of food by offering charitable donors free marijuana.

The Granny Purps dispensary in Soquel offered free marijuana cigarettes for anyone who brought in four cans of food. The dispensary had a three joint limit per day, and it was only available to people who had a prescription for medical marijuana.

According to USA Today, the Granny Purps dispensary collected 11,000 pounds of food, and handed out nearly 2000 joints between November and Christmas eve. After the promotion ended, the dispensary brought the food to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Danny Keith, the spokesman for Second Harvest, said that Granny Purps, which has less than 10 employees, donated the amount of food that typically comes from a company with 30-40 employees.
