McDonalds Sacks Employee Who Let Vikings’ Adrian Peterson Use The Bathroom
No good deed goes unpunished as the saying goes. McDonald’s officials weren’t exactly lovin’ it when they found out that a graveyard shift assistant manager at an Eden Prairie, Minn., restaurant let Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson use the restroom at 3 a.m. when only the drive-in window was open to the public.
They fired the mother of three for violating corporate policy.
According to The Consumerist…
The woman, who had been working at McDonald’s for seven years, was working the late-night shift, in which the drive-thru is open but the restaurant’s seating area is closed. Around 3 a.m., she noticed a man standing at the drive-thru window, asking to use the bathroom.
The man turned out to be Peterson. She allowed him to let him in because she recognized him and because he said that he had to go really bad. “I know him better than some of the maintenance people that come in and out, ” she said. She had no idea that it would lead to her termination, however.
The incident happened on January 3. Fortunately, after local media got wind of the story, McDonald’s made an exception, and the woman was reinstated as of today.
