USB Mass Storage For XBox 360 Arrives April 6th. Supported Cards One Month Later.

Xbox 360 Mass Storage USB Flash Drive

On April 6th Xbox 360 users will receive an update to their gaming consoles, that update will allow them to receive up to two simultaneous USB flash drives at the same time.

The maximum supported size will be 16GB, offered by Xbox 360 drive options and the software will allow users to store profiles, game saves and demos. Microsoft has also announced that regular USB drives can be specially formatted to work with the system, however performance will suffer when using standard drives and 16GB will still be the maximum allowed size.

Microsoft has also partnered with SanDisk to release an Xbox 360 branding flash drive which will arrive in May and which will be pre-configured for Xbox 360 use.

Microsoft has also tweaked the memory management screen, making it more simple to move around files.
