Twitter Rolls Out Common Connections Feature

Twitter users can now see common contacts they share with other users of the popular micro-blogging website. The feature was announced by Twitter spokeswoman Carolyn Penner via a tweet:
From twitter.com, you can now see connections that you share w/ a specific user when you go to that user’s profile.
This new feature will enable users to see what followers they have in common. Facebook and other social-networking sites already have this feature which motivates users to expand their network by adding those common contacts are not yet their ‘friends’ on those respective websites.
ComputerWorld reports that according to Experian, visitors to Twitter.com are now spending more time on the website per month. Back in November 2009, users were spending an average of 1 hour and 51 minutes on Twitter. Now 12 months on, it has gone up to 2 hours and 12 minutes.
At present, there are an estimated 200 million Twitter accounts with some 110 million tweets posted every day.
