Sinner? Get the New Confession App
For just $1.99, you can confess your sins and receive your penance in your very own home. Actually, with the new confession app you can get moral advice at work, in the car, at the gym, while your eating, lying in your bed, sitting in a church pew. Why? Is it because God is everywhere? Nope, it’s because you can now have confession on your iPhone.
Confession: A Roman Catholic App allows for good Christians, but temporary sinners, to confess their sins to their almighty mobile devices. The app then gives a ”personalized examination of conscience for each user.”
Patrick Leinen, of Little iApps, creators of the Confession App, said:
“Our desire is to invite Catholics to engage in their faith through digital technology. Taking to heart Pope Benedict XVI’s message from last year’s World Communications Address, our goal with this project is to offer a digital application that is truly new media at the service of the word.”
Little iApps said that they conferred with various bishops, reverends, and pastors to develop the apps content. Little iApps also says that the Confession App does not replace confession, and Catholics must still go to a priest to receive absolution.
