Angelina Jolie May Star in Sleeping Beauty Remake

As the evil Maleficent. We might not often think of Aneglina Jolie in super evil cartoon roles, but we have a feeling there’s a lot more to Maleficent than meets the eye. And Disney is planning on telling her story in the rumored Sleeping Beauty remake, Maleficent. We’ve already been hearing that Tim Burton is rumored to be directing the movie, and now we’re learning Angelina Jolie may take the lead role.

She can certainly “do” evil and she bares a slight (albeit much prettier) resemblance to Maleficent, so we can definitely see her in the role. And according to the Los Angeles Times, Jolie “is keen on” the idea of the role. Of course, no deals have been signed, but it does look like Angelina Jolie’s schedule is pretty free after she completes The Tourist, with Johnny Depp.
