Former members of Evanescence and former ‘American Idol’ alum Carly Smithson have joined forces to create the Evanescence 2.0 band, We Are The Fallen.
With Smithson on lead vocals, the band has released a remastered version of their debut single, “Bury Me Alive,” which features an orchestral outro.
Thanks to Noisecreep, an official music video for “Bury Me Alive” is now available to watch. The concept for the video was created by directed by Kyle Newman and his actress wife Jamie King. The band members have said that the concept was “kismet.”
What do you get when you cross former members of Evanescence with a past ‘American Idol’ contestant?
I do admit, that I really like the song, but I don’t like that they’re trying to look and sound like Evanescence. I’m not surprised the music is similar since Ben Moody wrote all the music for both bands, but is it really necessary to look the same?
