Jennifer Lopez Has Meltdown After Sending “Idol” Fan Favorite Home [VIDEO]
We’ve seen Paula Abdul get really emotional during her time on “American Idol,” so it’s no surprise to see singer Jennifer Lopez get emotional herself.
After capturing the hearts of America during his Milwaukee audition and sharing his heartbreaking story about a horrible tragedy that happened to his fiancé, Chris Medina, was eliminated during Wednesday’s episode.
When it came to Lopez having to give the bad news, she was probably the most emotional person there. Lopez has been a fan of Medina’s since she first met him when he sang “Breakeven” by The Script’s.
The 41-year-old singer told Medina, 26, who had a rough time singing “A Hard Day’s Night” during the Vegas round:
“It was just honestly a pleasure to meet someone like you. It was a blessing and a moment in my life I’ll always remember. You’ve had some good moments and some bad moments.”
Lopez had a meltdown as she told fan favorite Medina that his journey on “Idol” was coming to an end.
Lopez told Medina:
“It’s hard for me to tell him no. I don’t want to do this anymore!”
Jackson offered some consolation to Lopez by telling her she did it “in the best way possible.”
The rest of this year’s top 24 will be revealed during the second part airing tonight on Fox.
