John Galliano

Things aren’t looking to good for fashion designer John Galliano. Following his spat while in Paris, he was fired from fashion house, Christian Dior.

An announced was made on Tuesday that read:

“In light of the deeply offensive statements and conduct by John Galliano in a video made public [Monday], Christian Dior has commenced termination procedures against him.”

The 50-year-old fashion designer was accused of making anti-Semitic and racial remarks to people in a Paris café. The company first suspended him, but after new information – and a video – came out over the weekend, Dior had no choice but to let the designer go.

Executives at the fashion house also released a statement on Tuesday saying:

“We unequivocally condemn the statements made by John Galliano which are in total contradiction to the longstanding core values of Christian Dior.”

I can’t really say that I’m surprised to see what he was fired. So I knew it was coming.
