Christina Aguilera Signed On To New Reality Series, “The Voice”
Singer Christina Aguilera is going to be heading to the small screen this spring.
The Grammy winner signed on to coach the new musical competition reality series, “The Voice,” which is set to premiere on April 26. Aguilera will appear alongside Maroon 5 singer, Adam Levine, and Cee Lo Green as a coach to the contestants.
Aguilera said:
“I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.”
Executives over at NBC said her “once in a generation talent” is what caught the eye of the network. Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming at NYC and Universal Media Studios said she has a phenomenal and distinct voice that can be recognized instantly.
He said:
“Her journey as an artist, who started so young in the music business, will be an inspiration to the talent she coaches on the show.”
