Miranda Lambert: No Kids for a While

Country superstar Miranda Lambert is currently in the midst of planning her upcoming wedding to fiancé and country singer, Blake Shelton, 34, but she’s not exactly planning on having children for a while.

Lambert, 27, told Health Magazine in its May issues:

“We have seven dogs, so we’re just taking care of them. We have so much going on right now, we’re gonna wait a while. The dogs are really good birth control!”

While she might not be ready to be a mom, she couldn’t help but gush about her future husband, telling the magazine that they are a “solid match.”

She added:

“We balance each other out. He’s constantly joking, and I’m more serious. He can make me laugh at any point.”

Lambert said that her fiancé would love her no matter what her size. She also spoke to the magazine about the pressures celebrities face to be super thin.

She said:

“I’m a normal-size girl, and I’m fine with that. All these stars are so tiny, and they spend their lives trying to be skinny. I want to look my best, but I’m not a model. I’m not an actress. I’m representing normal girls.”
