Shaq Announces Retirement Via Twitter
Shaquille O’Neal is retiring. Shaq just posted the announcement, accompanied by a video, to his Twitter account.
Shaq also posted a farewell video, saying:
“We did it. 19 years, baby. Thank you very much. That’s why I’m telling you first: I’m about to retire. Love you. Talk to you soon.”
Shaq, who played with the Celtics this year, only competed in 39 games due to injuries. He only played 12 minutes during the playoffs.
CNN reports that O’Neal will leave the NBA as the No. 5 all-time scorer, the No. 12 all-time rebounder, and No. 7 all-time in blocks.
