‘Extreme Couponing’ Renewed for a Second Season

Extreme couponers rejoice! Your favorite TLC series has been picked up for a second season.

‘Extreme Couponing‘ lets viewers get an inside look at the lengths people will take to save money on their grocery bill. It’s not just minor savings either, because people are saving hundreds, even thousands, of dollars by using coupons.

According to reports in Cinema Blend, the series, which some are obsessed with and others consider it organized hoarding, will return after the series became an instant hit among TLC viewers.

The network described the series as:

“HIGH STAKES SWEEPERS tells the stories die-hard “sweepers,” who spend up to 60 hours per week searching for forms, buying products, and testing their luck in thousands of contests in the hopes of winning anything from a tube of toothpaste to a trip to Italy. They’re raiding the supermarkets, taking the kids dumpster diving for bottle caps, and relying on both strategies and superstitions to improve their chances. Viewers will enter their world to see how sweeping has affected their lives, check out the thousands of things they’ve won, and be there when the doorbell rings for the next big prize.”

Production on the second season of the hit series is currently underway so be sure to be on the lookout for extreme couponers in your grocery store. You never know, they could be filming a segment of the show. The second season is scheduled to premiere in September.
