Miami Heat Win NBA Championship? Miami Herald Runs Ad Congratulating Heat On Win

It looks like LeBron James’ ego is contagious. Despite the fact that the Miami Heat lost last night to the Dallas Mavericks, the Miami Herald is still convinced that the Heat deserve the 2011 NBA Championship. The Miami Herald ran an ad this morning congratulating the Heat on their championship victory.

It’s not surprising that Macy’s was getting ready to sell Miami Heat championship gear, but it’s a little strange that the Herald decided to run the ad. Not because the Heat didn’t win, but because even if the Heat did win last night, they still wouldn’t have won the championship. But I guess Miami has been celebrating their championship victory since the day LeBron James made his “decision.”

So congratulations Miami. You may not have won a ring last night, but you can still pick up a hat that said you did at Macy’s.
