Michael Vick Re-Signs With Nike
Michael Vick is back on the Nike team.
Vick, who lost nearly all of his endorsement deals after he was arrested for running a dog fighting ring in 2007, has re-signed with Nike, one of his biggest sponsors from before his arrest.
Megan Saalfeld, a Nike spokeswomen, told CNN:
“We have re-signed Michael Vick as a Nike athlete. Michael acknowledges his past mistakes… We do not condone those actions, but we support the positive changes he has made to better himself off the field.”
Vick served 20-months in prison after his arrest in 2007. Vick returned to the NFL to play for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009.
Vick’s agent Joel Segal told CNBC:
“Michael is excited to have a long-term and strong relationship with Nike.”
