Hurry Facebook fanatics, the end is nigh. You better poke, like, and share as many things as you can on Facebook over the next few months, because on November 5th, the internet’s social giant is going to be destroyed. Hacking group Anonymous released a video today saying that they were going to attack Facebook.
Why would they do such a thing? It’s for our own good.
Anonymous says that it’s going to eradicate “the medium of communication you all so dearly adore” in order to protect us from ourselves.
Anonymous says in the video:
“Facebook has been selling information to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world.
“Everything you do on Facebook stays on Facebook regardless of your ‘privacy’ settings, and deleting your account is impossible… One day you will look back on this and realize what we have done here is right.”
Anonymous has already hit Paypal, MasterCard, and the CIA. They’ve also hacked into local government websites and have just threatened to take down the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
Here’s the video from Anonymous:
So is this the end of Facebook? Or is this just a clever marketing ploy by Google Plus?
