If you make at least $83,000 annually there’s a good chance you’ve been tuning in to watch ABC’s hit series Modern Family.

A recent study by New York magazine’s Vulture blog has found that the show has the highest median income of any TV show currently airing for viewers aged 18-49. The study also found that the show also has the highest number of viewers who make $100,000 annually.

Among $100,000+ earners the show has a 13.6 rating, far ahead of the next closest competitor in Two and a Half Men which pulls in a 9.0 rating in that income bracket.

It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that Modern Family has done well with well-to-do families since all three families featured in the show are doing well for themselves financially with a main earning and stay-at-home parent in each household.

Does it surprise you to learn that Modern Family is so well loved by America’s top earning households?
