Conan's Back: O'Brien Gets Late Night Show on TBS
It’s been a long time since the former “Tonight Show” host has been on TV. But Conan O’Brien will be making his triumphant return to TV this November on TBS.
“The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November!” Conan tweeted earlier today. “The bad news: I’ll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show.”
Conan will be moving into the 11 PM slot on TBS, formerly occupied by George Lopez. “Lopez Tonight” will be pushed back until Midnight to make room for Conan.
O’Brien will start his new show in November, but for now, Conan and his comic team will be touring the country on his “Legally Prohibited to be Funny on TV” tour.
“In three months, I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable,” O’Brien said in a statement. “My plan is working perfectly.”
