More Info:

With Google’s social media network Google Plus gaining more interest from consumers, Google has decided to incorporate all of its networks into one.

As the Associated Press recently reported, Google elected to make the change for simplicity’s sake. Prior to this merging, Google Plus was able to take email addresses from Gmail accounts. This was to help people find their friends on Google Plus.

According to the AP article, Google has decided “to link information across services from Gmail to YouTube to the Google Plus social network.”

Google will enact these changes starting March 1, 2012. More than 70 different company policies will merge together under one description. Separate policies will stay intact for Google Chrome and Google’s electronic payment system.

The new merge is designed to help users find what they are interested in faster. If users are searching for a new cell phone using the Google search engine, for example, the next time they log onto their Google Plus profile they may see ads for different phone types.

As the AP report continues, “If you’re signed into Google, we can do things like suggest search queries — or tailor your search results — based on the interests you’ve expressed in Google (Plus), Gmail and YouTube,” the company says on a new overview page for its privacy policies. “We’ll better understand (what) you’re searching for and get you those results faster.’ (Nakashima).”

Along with Google, other Internet domains are seeking better ways to learn more about their users. They want to know what users are interested in so they can cater to their needs. The websites also want to know what users enjoy so they can direct specifically-targeted ads toward them.

These advertising methods are known as affiliate marketing techniques. There are many affiliate marketing companies who want to help their clients find key parties who are interested in the client’s industry.

One such company, Capital Online Revenue, Inc., helps train online business owners in these marketing techniques. As recently posted by the company, “Capital Online Revenue, Inc. has chosen to strictly focus on affiliate marketing because most people use the Internet to find all of their information. Consumers check their social media pages and emails constantly. Therefore, online advertising has emerged as the best way to reach people of all types and at all times.”

Affiliate marketing programs are used to generate interest in a small business. Every new or small businesses need to gain recognition by the public in order to compete against larger corporations. They have found that using affiliate marketing reaches many users and makes it easier to reach people who are directly interested in a product or service. With Google combining their services to cater towards their user’s needs, affiliate marketing will have an easier job of reaching their target audience.
