Joe Hilton of Boca Raton Commends Youth Guidance’s Partnerships

For Florida’s Vero Beach-based organization Youth Guidance, inter-organizations collaboration is essential. Youth Guidance has joined forces with various groups to reach Florida’s young people. Joe Hilton of Boca Raton is thrilled to see what activism on behalf of his state’s youth can accomplish.

The word collaboration can mean a lot of things for a lot of different people. For Youth Guidance, it represents how organizations work. Youth Guidance is based in Vero Beach, Florida. The organization is a mentoring group for young people, overseeing many various activities and services.

Many different groups in the Vero Beach region have banded together with Youth Guidance. For instance, the organization Growing Healthy Kids, Inc. desires better health habits for Florida’s youth. Growing Healthy Kids’ founder Nancy Heinrich sees the collaboration as a vehicle for doing things. Coming together “is a great way to get things done,” she says. She sees the good that Youth Guidance is doing and is proud to act as a part of it.

A variety of groups have worked with Youth Guidance in the past. Children involved in Youth Guidance have participated in yoga and karate through Gifford Youth Activity Center. They’ve also involved themselves with Rescue Reader’s programs through local Boys & Girls Clubs. A partnership with Habitat for Humanity has allowed teens to participate in charity work.

In addition to these groups, Youth Guidance has worked with many other for-profit groups. Youths have played tennis at some local clubs, involved themselves in beach clean-ups, and more. Airplane flights, boats rides and theater visits have all graced Youth Guidance’s schedule.

Local gyms and REC centers have joined in the fun. Many have provided sports-related activities for the kids in Youth Guidance. Cheerleading, basketball, football and gymnastics were the talk of the town among youth. The organizations Youth on a Mission has taken young people on some missions trips.

Youth Guidance Founder John Binkley is delighted to see the program’s success. Day by day, he notes, the programs he oversees make differences in the kids’ lives. Joe Hilton of Boca Raton, who also spends a lot of time coaching positive activities for children, celebrates Youth Guidance’s success involving the local youth. He relishes the sight of seeing young people learn and develop.
