Food Network Diva's Maid Had Sticky Fingers
Folksy celebrity chef Paula Deen has been having somewhat of a rough time in the last six months or so. In November, the popular Food Network host was smacked in the face by a frozen ham during a Thanksgiving charity function in Atlanta [see video below]. Fortunately she came out of it okay.
Well, now it seems that a maid allegedly ripped off about $10,000 worth of jewelry from Deen’s Savannah home in the past year, according to TMZ. The worker was fired when Paula’s husband Michael apparently found some of their missing baubles in the maid’s possession. Police subsequently charged the woman with felony theft. Guess it’s true that you just can’t find good help anymore.
Paula Deen currently hosts several high-rated cooking shows on the Food Network devoted to southern-style cuisine: Paula’s Home Cooking, Paula’s Party, and Paula’s Best Dishes.
