According to Breitbart News, Nancy Pelosi has said that unemployment checks are the best way to create jobs. There are good reasons to give out unemployment checks. No one wants to be on unemployment, which is usually half of one’s gross average pay. The last time I checked, encouraging employers to hire workers and to create new jobs is a far better solution to unemployment than passing out unemployment checks.

Pelosi’s world is an interesting place. According to her, every month that Congress fails to pass a recovery package, 500 million Americans lose their jobs. At the last count, America’s population is a little over 300 million.

Then there is Nancy Pelosi talking about her favorite word. What is her favorite word? Why it’s “the word”. Pelosi  takes a minute and 19 seconds to explain it, She sounds like she grabbed the wrong brownies in some college dorm. No it was not a bong but a microphone in front of her when she gave that little talk.

How about her justification for passing health care? She said that we had to vote for the health care bill so we could find out what was in it. When I was in high school, someone told me to take some pills so I could find out what what they were. I passed up that offer. I don’t know if Pelosi would have.

My favorite Pelosi interview is by a guy named Jan Helfeld who spent about 7 minutes asking Nancy Pelosi if she paid her interns minimum wage. Helfeld reminds me of Borat Sagdiyev, the character created by Baron Sasha Cohen. He wore Pelosi out. Pelosi wouldn’t say what she paid her interns. She defended having people come in to work for free. At the end of the interview, she called for a guard to eject Helfeld.

Despite Pelosi’s flakiness, her evasiveness and her misstatements, I am tempted to support her bid for reelection. She’s so much fun to watch.

Here’s a new concept: put her remarks in context!
    She is right.

People who collect unemployment money spend it: food, shelter, clothing, essentials. This means businesses get stronger and may hire more people.

    She is right.
