Ilaria Urbanati, co-owner of L.A. boutique Confederacy, met with designer Calvin Klein about stocking the designer’s clothing in her store. She just has one request for him. She wants him to remake the famous little white dress from the hit movie “Clueless,” according to Style News.
“I sort of geeked out on him, [explaining] how my formative-years love of Calvin Klein was partly based on the little white minidress Alicia Silverstone wears in Clueless,” Urbanati told InStyle.com. “I re-enacted the entire scene with Cher and her father—’Cher, what are you wearing?’ ‘A dress!’ ‘Says who?’ ‘Calvin Klein!’–and of course I said, ‘Francisco, you need to remake that dress!’”
According to reports, it didn’t take a lot of arm-twisting to convince the designer. He saw the clip of the famous scene, got the original pattern from the archives in Italy and created the dress.
The famous white dress is available at Shop Confederacy for $916.
Would you pay this much to wear the same dress from the popular 90s movie?
