Texas RangersA fan plunged about 30 feet from the second deck of the stands after reportedly trying to catch a foul ball Tuesday at a Texas Rangers baseball game in Arlington, Texas. The man, who’s been identified in media reports as firefighter Tyler Morris, is still hospitalized, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Morris plummeted during the fifth inning after leaning too far out trying to catch the foul, landing on fellow fans sitting on seats at field level during the Rangers’ game with Cleveland. Four of the fans he hit, one of whom was a child, received medical aid at the ballpark, but were not hospitalized. Morris was reportedly conscious after the fall before being transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

The fall stopped play for at least 16 minutes, with the game resuming about 8:45 p.m. The Rangers ultimately beat Cleveland 12-1. Indians manager Manny Acta told The Dallas Morning News the fall didn’t affect the outcome of the game, and he was thankful the plunge wasn’t a fatality.
