Pizza Hut Rolls Out New Lower Prices

Permanent reduction eliminates need for coupons and limited time offers

Pizza Hut, or The Hut, if you believe their marketing, is lowering their prices permanently. The deals are already rolling out in some parts of the country and should be chain-wide in August.

The analysts think Pizza Hut is feeling pressure from Domino’s and is being aggressive early.

Two-thirds of Pizza Hut locations now have $8 medium; $10 large, and $2 more for specialty pizza price in place.

“This isn’t just another deal, this is an everyday menu pizza pricing change taking place. High, overcomplicated pricing has been a category issue in the pizza world for the last several decades.  Much like our $10 Any Pizza shifted America’s focus on how much a single pizza should cost, our new pricing structure will set the industry tone for what is a holistic, everyday value solution.”

said Brian Niccol, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Hut in a press release.

“The motivation behind this change wasn’t just value, but simplification and transparency. Our new menu pricing makes it easier for our customers to access great value everyday when ordering without having to worry about coupons or special limited offers.”

No word yet on plans to revamp their website to make ordering pizzas online easier.
