It’s safe to say that Anthony Weiner is sick of the party of “no.” Yesterday, before the House voted on a bill that would extend health care to 9/11 responders, Weiner unleashed a furious tirade over how the GOP is objecting to the bill over procedural complaints.
“If you believe this is a bad idea to provide health care, vote no!” Weimer said. “But don’t give me the cowardly view of ‘oh if it was a different procedure.”
Throughout Weiner’s infuriated speech, he continually told a congressman, which the Huffington Post reports was probably Rep. Peter King, to sit down, and screamed ‘shame’ in his direction.
The bill in question would have provided free health care for 9/11 responders who were made sick during the attacks. The bill failed to pass. 255 representatives were for the bill, 159 against.
Whether you agree with Weiner or not, the video below clearly shows the sharp divide in the House.
