Northwest Airways Flight 188 not only missed their landing late Wednesday night, the plane actually overshot the airport by 150 miles, while not responding to repeated attempts of contact by air traffic control.
The flight crew of flight 188 claim they were in a heated discussion over airline policies, although the Federal Aviation Administration is now using federal investigators to verify those claims via the planes flight recorder.
Some sources are claiming that pilot fatigue may have been the cause of the error, especially when considering the loud and unmistakable noises planes contact system makes when calling the cockpit.
The plane, an Airbus A320 was carrying 144 passengers, 3 flight attendants and 2 pilots at a cruising speed of 37,000 feet.
