
An ice skating bear killed a circus manager during rehearsals in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek according to a report released by the BBC.
The circus manager, 25 year old Dmitry Potapov was rehearsing with the bear when he was mauled, along with another worker who was injured while coming to the aid of Potapov.
Both men were pulled away from the bear which was barricaded inside the arena and later shot and killed by local police.
The injured worker was severely injured during his rescue attempt and is listed in critical condition with “bruising to the brain and lacerations to his scalp” according to his doctor Gulnara Tashibekova.
