Andrew Conley Kills His 10-Year-Old Brother, Blames TV Show "Dexter"

andrew-conley

17-year-old Andrew Conley showed no remorse when he confessed to Police that he killed his 10-year-old brother Connor. While also telling police that he  took his cues from the serial killer TV show Dexter.

“I just feel like him,” he told Police, referring to the TV shows main character.

The murder occurred when the two boys were left home alone on Saturday night at their residence in Ohio County. Andrew told police he placed his younger brother in a headlock until he lost consciousness. He then proceeded to continually choke his brother over a twenty minute period until he was spewing blood from his mouth and nose.

Andrew then told police without any emotion in his confession that he taped a plastic bag over his brothers head, dragged him down the stairs by his feet and proceeded to smash his head several times into the ground and then placed him in a trunk which was later found in a local park on Sunday night.

After killing his brother he headed over to his girlfriends house, presented her with a “sweetheart” ring and hung out. She described him as “happier than he’d been in a while.”

While Andrew Conley can’t face the death penalty since he is only 17 years old, he will be charged as an adult and we’re assuming life without parole will be given to the homicidal psychopath. [Cincinnati.com]

im scared that some people are like that

Along with being completely insane, Andrew Conley is extremely stupid. Dexter has a set of rules that he follows and only kills those who are killers themselves. Andrew, enjoy jail and quit blaming a TV show for your actions. YOU did this.

I agree David, he may have felt like Dexter in his mind, but he was just a stupid kid who wanted an out by blaming TV.

That right there is a demon spirit in his head! Andrew you need to know god and ask him to forgive you! And never blame something on a t.v show. It had nothing to do with it.

“people” do understand TV shows aren't real… this kid however is a “monster”.

  • you

I'm pretty sure the kid was talking about the way dexter describes his dark passenger, and in this day and age the kid had access to the internet and could have read up on the whole “psyche” of dexter.

And I don't think anywhere it says he blames the show, only that he felt like the character, which is empty, and unfulfilled by the normal things people do. Not an excuse, but it isn't the same as blaming the show. Also, maybe his parents should have paid more attention to him, there are always signs.

It's still blaming the show, he says, “I felt like him” and his actions mimic the lack of remorse felt by Dexter. He obviously knew the show and took his cues, then associated himself with it.

    He identified with Dexter’s victims.

So does Dexter, which still makes him identify with Dexter.

I am sorry CC but god cannot help anyone he has never been there BUT this kid has no right to blame Dexter 100% of the time it is the parents fault for not paying attention. This is sick and sad thing that happened to the ten year old but this kid needed help before he saw this show. Plus Dexter did not inspire him Dexter only kills those who deserve it so that cannot be where he got his idea.

Apparently this dumbass doesn’t watch the show. Guys like him would be the first under dexter’s knife. I hope he gets vigilante’d. He deserves it.

You’re not the only one who “feels” like Dexter. Just because you can relate to the character and his personality, doesn’t mean you can recreate a situation the character puts himself into. By the way, Dexter is more clever than this dumbass. If you can connect with the character, at least put some mind into it.
