Britain Has A New Comedian – 8 Year Old Ramona Marquez

Britain has always been ahead of the curve when it has come to comedy. It took years before America understood the sharp wit of Monty Python, or the deadpan comedy of shows like The Office.
And now, Britain has a new take on comedy. The key is to just let the kids improvise, and no one is better at that than Ramona Marquez of the new sitcom, Outnumbered.
The show Outnumbered recently won the British Comedy Award for best sitcom, and they owe much thanks to their young star who writes, and improvises much of her material.
The 8 year old also won the best new comedian award, making her the youngest British comedian to win the award.
So what can we expect now? After stealing slapstick humor from the Brits, and recreating the awkward silences in The Office, I’d put money on a new improv hour from Zach and Cody popping up any day now.
