Pacquiao Wants Mayweather NOW
Even after agreeing to all of Floyd Mayweather’s ludicrous drug testing demands, Manny Pacquiao still finds himself unable to schedule a fight with the undefeated Mayweather. Instead of Mayweather, Pacman and his trainer, Freddie Roach, find themselves training for a bout against Antonio Margarito at Jerry Jones’ lovechild–Cowboys Stadium. ESPN.com reports that, while in New York promoting his fight against Margarito, Manny Pacquiao is adamant in his desire for a fight between him and Mayweather, but “Money” Mayweather seemed to always have an excuse and ends up creating new hurdles for Pacquiao to leap over.
“I don’t need him, he needs me,” Pacquiao stated while in New York promoting his upcoming bout. “Compare my achievements in boxing to his achievements.” Pacquiao was referring to Mayweather and his achievements, of course.
Freddie Roach, then went on to say, “Whatever he wanted to do, we were accepting it. Whatever he wanted. Manny said, ‘I want to fight. I’ll agree to anything.’ I thought the fight was a shoo-in.”
The latter statements show the growing frustration that Pacquiao’s camp is enduring, and they also show that Mayweather is trying to prevent this fight from ever happening. It is clear that Mayweather is hiding from Pacquiao because he fears the possibility of a blemish on his perfect record.
Floyd, if you want to go down as the best in boxing history you have to beat the best–and the best is Manny Pacquiao. No more excuses.
