While it’s not quite the CES toting embedded content service we had hoped for, the new Sharp Quattron with crazy yellow colors has revealed support for HD DivX files, delivered none the less with the help of a USB drive.
The Aquos LE820 LCD’s which feature Quattron quad-pixel technology play full 1080p DivX HD files with simple plug and play technology, thus helping expand the use of DivX which has slowly crept onto more devices since being ousted from mainstream media years ago.
While it’s not the most inventing bit of technology in recent memory, it does help users get the most out of their new color spectrum, plus it means much less DVD ripping which I never seem to have time for to begin with.
