Opening your Word Document

To save your Word document as a PDF, open the document. Then, go to the “File” tab and click “Save As.” A dropdown menu will appear; click “PDF.” If you want to password-protect your PDF, click “Tools” and then “Protect Document.”

A sidebar will appear on the right-hand side of the screen; click “Encrypt with Password.” Type in a password, confirm it, and click “OK.” Your Word document is now a PDF.

To save a Word document as a PDF, open the Word document you want to convert. Then, click the “File” tab in the top-left corner of the screen. Next, click “Save As” in the dropdown menu.

In the “Save As” window that appears, select “Browse” in the bottom-left corner. Find the location on your computer where you want to save the PDF, then click the “Save” button in the window’s bottom-right corner. Finally, in the “Save As” window, select “PDF” from the “Save as type” dropdown menu, then click the “Save” button.

Printing your PDF

If you have a document in Microsoft Word, you can save it as a PDF. In the Save As window, select PDF from the dropdown menu. Enter a name for your PDF and click Save.

Assuming you have a document open in Word:

  • Click File in the upper-left corner.
  • Click Print in the resulting dropdown menu.
  • Click the dropdown menu to the Printer’s right and select Microsoft Print to PDF.
  • Click Print in the lower-right corner of the resulting pop-up window.
  • Navigate to the folder where you want to save your PDF and click Save.

Editing your PDF

If you need to edit your PDF, there are a few different ways you can go about doing it. One way is to open the PDF in a word processing program like Microsoft Word or Google Docs and make your changes there. Once you’re done, save the File as a PDF again.

Another way is to use a PDF editor program like Adobe Acrobat or Foxit PhantomPDF. These programs let you make changes to your PDF directly without converting it to another format first.
