In 2007 a stranger told Vitas that he was his biological father. As Vitas’ family had their doubts about the mysterious stranger’s motivations, they decided to connive the man to go through a DNA test. The results of the DNA test showed that the man was not Vitas’ biological father and may have pretended to be Vitas’ biological father in order to gain fame.
Vitas was once arrested for hitting a cyclist with his car:
Vitas was arrested in 2013 for accidentally hitting a cyclist with his car. Unfortunately for Vitas numerous Russian news shows decided to report on the accident after a police office at the scene shared Vitas’ drivers licence with reporters. Perhaps in exchange for money. Due to the negative press coverage about Vitas’ accident, he was forced to cancel his remaining concerts in China that year.
