An elderly man loses his life after failing into a lava tube in Hawaii:
An elderly man who lived on the Hawaiian island of Hilo fell through soft ground in his back yard into a lava tube, while he was pruning one of his trees. It took several days for the authorities to locate the man’s body, after the man’s family reported him missing. Police found that he fallen 22 meters and will instantly killed as a result of his fatal fall.
South Korea chooses to deport two North Korean nationals who have been accused of committing mass murder at sea:
South Korea has chosen to deport two North Korean born fishermen who stand accused of slaughtering 16 men at sea. One of whom was the ship’s captain. After allegedly murdering the rest of the men on board, the two men fled to South Korean waters, to avoid being tried for their crimes. The two men are the first North Korean nationals to be deported from South Korea to North Korea since 1953. As the two countries have had rocky relations for several decades and are still technically at war with each other.
A woman climbs into a lion’s den in New York to gain notoriety on Instagram:
A 30 year old woman climbed into the lion enclose at the Bronx Zoo, before proceeded to dance infront of a lion. Luckily for the woman, the lions decided to steer clear of her. However, as the woman had her friends take video footage of her in the lion enclosure, which she posted to the social media platform Instagram, After her story made the news and the police sought to arrest the woman, she decided to turn herself in to the NYPD.
A tourist in Namibia gets trampled to death by an African elephant:
An unnamed 59 year old Australian tourist lost his life when he was trampled to death by an elephant, while he was on a camping trip in Namibia. Unfortunately the man and his travel companions choose to camp at a non designated camp site on the banks of the Huabe River. Due to safety reasons tourists aren’t permitted to camp at non designated camp sites and the local authorities are trying to discover whether or not the tour group had a local guide. Who could be charged for ignoring local saftey laws that were put in place to protect visitors to Namibia as well as local wildlife.
Berlin celebrates the 30 year anniversary of the demise of the Berlin Wall:
Berlin recently commemorated the 30 year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. While three full decades have passed since the first sections of the Berlin Wall were demolished, in recent years tension has started to grow between individuals on both sides of the demolished wall. As there is now an invisible divide between what was once East Berlin and what was once West Berlin.
