May 10, 2022 by Gigi Leave a Comment

Are you looking to escape the madness of your city and are hoping to go camping?

Before you pack your bags — you’ve got to know what to pack into your bags! A backpacking camping trip can be one of the most fun vacations you’ll take. But if you don’t pack right, it’ll surely turn into a nightmare!

This quick guide will tell you about the essentials you’ll need to take with you if you’re going camping.

Here’s what we recommend you buy:

1. Two-Way Radios

Whether traveling alone or with a group of friends, you want as many communication tools as possible. While you might get tempted to escape from technology, you’ll depend on it to keep safe.

In addition to your smartphones, you want to invest in great two-way radios. You can visit this link to see great examples of these radios.

These let you communicate with others when you lose connection to the internet or satellite. It’s perfect for keeping in touch with others during an emergency.

2. Sleeping Bag

The most comfortable way to sleep when going camping is using a sleeping bag. Even if you’re traveling with an RV or have a lodge, you want a sleeping bag as a backup plan.

This protects you from cold weather as well as from any bugs, snakes, or other wildlife. Sleeping bags are also easy to carry in most backpacks.

3. Backpacking Tent

Once again, even if you have luxury accommodation, you’ll want to spend at least one night camping in the forest. This gives you the most authentic experience when you’re going camping.

A backpacking tent ensures that you’re protected while you sleep. It’ll keep you warm during cold nights and is also perfect for protecting against wildlife.

4. Food and Beverages

Make sure you have an abundance of food and beverages when you go camping. You have to expect that there won’t be any nearby stores or restaurants to replenish.

Bring plenty of dried foods that you can cook on a pan over an open fire. Make sure you bring large gallon bottles of water. You should have lots of instant coffee packets to maintain your energy throughout the day.

5. Emergency Money

You should take a substantial amount of money with you in case you need to pay for products or services for your survival.

Consider having at least $1K to $2K in cash with you. You might also consider bringing along a few ounces of gold and silver in case you need to barter with someone. A cryptocurrency paper wallet is also a great option for emergency money.

Enjoy Your Camping Trip

Now you can enjoy your upcoming camping trip without having to worry about things going wrong!

Make sure you bring along two-way radios so you can communicate with others in case your smartphone doesn’t work. You want to also carry sleeping bags and a backpacking tent for sleeping in the woods.

You must also have an abundance of food and beverages. Bring some emergency money in case you need to rely on someone else to assist you in case things go wrong.
