So, we’ve all tried to make the most of the past few months’ lockdowns. No matter where you live, chances are you were stuck at home for days, weeks or even months because of the global pandemic. So perhaps you’ve been passing the time using digital resources, such as taking virtual tours of museums.

But at some stage you’ll want to experience the real thing again, right? And with restrictions lifting we can all hope that tourism will resume sooner rather than later, without putting people’s health at risk.

So, where should you go as soon as you can dust off your passport? Here’s our Top 3 list of destinations, all picked for some very unique facts.

1. Head Down to Christchurch

The first reason New Zealand should be high on your travel priority list is because of their impressive track record during the pandemic. You can have peace of mind that your country of destination has all protocols in place, so you’re keeping risks low, while you’re travelling to a place you’ll fall in love with at first sight.

For starters there are all the areas used for Lord of the Rings when they were shooting the movie—absolutely gorgeous! But the reason we single out Christchurch is that it’s worth seeing how this town was rebuilt after experiencing an earthquake. Any source of motivation is valuable after such a difficult year don’t you think?

2. Attempt Alaska

If animals are your ‘thing’ you may be curious how the lockdown has affected them. The truth is that in the absence of humans, certain animals may flourish once again and this may be the case for the whales near Glacier Bay in Alaska.

Because there’s less traffic—especially fewer cruise ships—on the oceans, animals who don’t like the traffic may enjoy this season, possibly resulting in population growth. Of course, we shouldn’t scare them away again by increasing traffic to previous levels. But if you use a tourism company that respects nature, enjoy this unique experience of seeing these remarkable—large—animals.

And don’t be put off by the idea of heading to a colder part of the globe. There’s a lot to do inside as well, from simply enjoying time by the fire with friends at a lodge to trying out new online casinos Canada, America and other countries are bringing out. Everyone used the past few months to improve service provision, so expect more entertainment wherever you’re headed.

3. Jump and Jive in Jamaica

If you do prefer the warmth of the sun to the cold temperatures, head to Jamaica. This is a destination that is bound to become extra popular soon, since the new Bond movie had this as a backdrop during certain scenes. From rafting to good food, there’s something for everyone, so take the family!

Final Thoughts

At some stage, there will be a new norm with travel as part of your options. Pick out your favourite spots to head to—based on what YOU love doing—so your first trip after the pandemic is one worth remembering.

And then, don’t forget to tell us all about it. People across the world have become more supportive of each other over the past few months, so let’s keep on communicating!
